The 2026 Science Events Summit is a wrap!
From Sunday evening through Tuesday afternoon, we gathered in Jackson to do something essential: we made visible the work that usually stays hidden. Through conversations with panelists, facilitators, and each other, we surfaced the relationships, decisions, coordination, and care that make events possible. We ate and listened to music together, we shared our written thoughts, we stayed in small groups long enough to build a sense of trust. Many bowled strikes, even more tried REALLY hard to. We made connections that will shape our work.
The hope of this year's Summit was simple: that you would walk away knowing something true about your own work and about what your peers are grappling with too. We invited you to be both storyteller and listener, both learner and expert. By Tuesday, people weren't just attending sessions. They were naming their own unspoken work out loud. They were recognizing the strategic potential in the labor they'd always done. The program below captures what we built together.
